Jesus said "...Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest." John 4:35. In Matthew 13:38 we are told the field is the world. The axiom "out of sight, out of mind" applies here for us. God sees the world, loves the world and gave His Son for the whole world-John 3:16. God wants us to catch His vision, to see what He sees; this is crucial based upon Proverbs 29:18 "where there is no vision, the people perish:" When we consider this truth, then it logically follows what the Lord Jesus tells us repeatedly to do "...Go into all the world, and preach the gospel..." Mark 16:15. Do we see the world as God sees the world? The book of acts is the record of the Church commissioned, empowered and going into the world; a record that continues to this day. "Preaching the kingdom,...no man forbidding him." Lord, open our eyes. Help us see our world as you do!~Pastor Smith~
